Q. What is a Green Card, and why is it needed?

A. A Green Card is your Obligatory Motor Third Party Liability insurance abroad.

If you are planning to go abroad by car, you will need a Green Card which will be your obligatory civil liability insurance away from home.

The essence of a Green Card is simple:

1. Any damage incurred by a foreign vehicle as a result of a road accident will be recompensed.

2. Any claims within the insurance amount will be regulated under the law of the state where the road accident took place.

3. You travel in Europe with a national insurance policy compliant with European regulations.

A Green Card is a vehicle owners' obligatory civil liability insurance policy accepted in many countries throughout the world. Green Card partnership countries mutually recognise national insurance contracts and guarantee recovery of damage incurred to Green Card insured vehicles in road accidents abroad.

Travel in all European countries, as well as in Morocco, Tunis, Israel and Iran in a car which is not covered by a Green Card policy is impossible.

We remind you that Green Card insurance is not valid in the Russian Federation, as it does not replace OSAGO insurance. 

Q. How much does a Green Card cost?

A. A Green Card in Russia today costs RUR 1290 (if insuring the car for a period within 15 days). Please note that the cost of a Green Card is subject to periodic changes.

Q. How much time will it take to sign a car rental agreement?

A. 10-15 minutes if the car is to be handed over at our Central Office, 5 minutes if handing the car over at your address if you previously give us your personal details by phone or email, or 20 minutes if handing the car over at your address if your personal details are filled in by the SPK employee at the handover point. 

Q. Is rental car handover possible in off hours?

A. It is possible, upon prior contact with SPK staff, for additional fee.

Q. Is it possible to go abroad in a rented car?
